Inside Shell – 4/5/2015

Went to Harbor Freight to buy a set of scrapers in various sizes for getting in some hard-to-reach spots:

The heat gun, wire brushes, and scrapers I am using to remove the seam sealer.  Not pictured is the lacquer thinner can that I am using to scrub clean after scraping with these tools:IMG_1270

This is the seam sealer I am removing:  Scrape it off and vacuum it up then repeat until it is clean:IMG_1271

These edges take a lot of time and patients:IMG_1272

This is what we are targeting:  No seam sealer:IMG_1273 IMG_1274 IMG_1281

Also the where the package tray was glued down:IMG_1282 IMG_1284 IMG_1286 IMG_1287 IMG_1288

Don’t forget the area by the rear seat – before:IMG_1289 IMG_1290 IMG_1291 IMG_1292

After:IMG_1295I think I am finally ready to scuff the rear section to prep for priming!
