Worked in the tight area where the inside quarter meets the tail panel tonight. It didn’t take long, but even with a rotisserie, it was at a weird angle to access and see what I was doing.

Worked on the other side today and got the passenger side rear lower inner quarter panel done – it went a little smoother after doing the other side!

Hopefully tomorrow I will get to the two corners where the quarter panel and tail panel meet.
Focused on cleaning the drivers side rear lower inner quarter panel today.
Before (started cleaning a while back):
After scrubbing with PurplePower and hot water:
Finally ended up using lacquer thinner which really did the trick!:
Still have a little more to do in the back corner where the quarter panel meets the tail panel:
Tomorrow will be the other side!
I have removed the undercoating from the drivers side wheel well – still need to go over it with some lacquer thinner. First little pass to get used to the Dremel Multi-Max – ended up using both the flexible and rigid blades to remove it. Also angled the blade as I worked on it. Notice that this didn’t touch the primer – I can still clean it before taking it to bare metal.
Will do the passenger side next and then more cleaning of the wheel wells and lower inner fenders.
Finished the major cleaning on the floor this weekend and started to look at what needs to be done on the wheel wells. I spent some time on the lower inside quarter panel only to determine it was mostly undercoating which I will tackle this week.
Decided to begin with the Dremel Multi-Max. I switched from the rigid to flexible scrapers – starting with the flexible and moving to the rigid where needed.
A before shot of a section of the drivers side wheel well:
After experimenting with the Dremel:
This next weeks focus will be the wheel wells and inside lower quarters. Then on to the wax and grease remover before finally stripping.
