{"id":208,"date":"2011-09-24T06:42:12","date_gmt":"2011-09-24T11:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/?p=208"},"modified":"2011-09-24T06:42:12","modified_gmt":"2011-09-24T11:42:12","slug":"garage-heating-9242011-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/2011\/09\/garage-heating-9242011-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Garage Heating &#8211; 9\/24\/2011 Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remounted the opener. \u00a0The board that was holding it cracked, so I used a 2&#215;8 instead:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P10100017.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-209\" title=\"Opener\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P10100017-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last weekend, we got the rafters added along with some supporting boards:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P10100025.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-210\" title=\"Rafters\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P10100025-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note in the above picture, there are some boards that needed to be trimmed that extended below the rafter. \u00a0Here they are trimmed:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1010002-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-211\" title=\"Rafters - trimmed\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1010002-2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I still need to add rafter boards at the front and back of the front half before I can insulate and drywall. \u00a0The front of the garage has some wires for the garage opener which needs to be re-located.<\/p>\n<p>Think I have figured out my garage door closing problem. \u00a0Towards the bottom when closing, the door sides from side-to-side and sometimes stops the opener. \u00a0Well, my garage opening walls are not straight up and down, but the opener is &#8211; see pics:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P10100033.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-212\" title=\"Left Side\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P10100033-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1010005-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-213\" title=\"Right Side\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/P1010005-2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also measured the distance between the rails in the middle and bottom and they are off by at least an inch. \u00a0So after\u00a0dry-walling, I can work on the door as time permits. \u00a0Might have to get some help with that!
