&#8211; 4-speed shifter hump&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am about a week overdue with this post, but here is the latest on the progress of re-doing the 4-speed shifter hump.<\/p>\n<p>Started by using magnets to hold it in place while I traced the opening on the bottom of the patch:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/2016\/11\/11-05-2016-4-speed-shifter-hump\/img_2289\/\" (max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is a lip that sticks out on the drivers side I needed to deal with. &nbsp;So the fun begins with measuring, marking, and trimming:<a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/2016\/11\/11-05-2016-4-speed-shifter-hump\/img_2300\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2951\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2951\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_2300.jpg\" alt=\"img_2300\" width=\"757\" height=\"568\" (max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then I had to bend and hammer the patch and floor so it was snug:<a href=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/2016\/11\/11-05-2016-4-speed-shifter-hump\/img_2301\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2952\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2952\" src=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_2301.jpg\" alt=\"img_2301\" width=\"757\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_2301.jpg 757w, https:\/\/dougbratton.info\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/IMG_2301-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I determined that the magnets wouldn&#8217;t do the job, so the plan is to rivet it in place, then patch in the shifter hump &#8211; riveting that in then using body adhesive next Spring with the rivets to complete the job.<\/p>\n<p>Now it is on to some pre-winter non-car projects, so the car work is on hold. &nbsp;There won&#8217;t be a lot to
