I got the trans hump patch installed today. Used some metal adhesive and sheet metal screws. Saved a lot of time compared to if I had to weld it! So far happy with the results.
Also have some spark plug wires, gauges, and misc parts for the engine run stand…
Getting the itch do get the subframe painted and the car primed… Decided to power wash the subframe… Still need to go over it with a wire wheel & cleaner, then can start to paint it…
No engine work this weekend – planning to work on the engine next Sunday…
While waiting for the dash brace to arrive on Monday, did a little shopping and found these paint pour spouts on clearance at Lowes for $0.10 each – so I bought them out and got 40 of them! These keep the paint can clean and re-usable…
Washed, waxed, and used some TurtleWax Chrome restoring polish on the bumpers… Not real pleased, but got familiar with all the nicks & dings… I am thinking I will re-chrome the rear & fangs from front while replacing the front bumper with a repro.
Got my Center Console yesterday… Using it to confirm my transmission hump patch is properly placed. Went to install it to the brace on the dash and it looks like the brace is bent. I have located another brace which I purchased off eBay and should be here on Friday. I also ordered a hood & fender from AMD…
