Sept 5, 2012 Update

Had a thunderstorm last night take down a few limbs.  One landed on the fence, so I took the morning off to clean up the limbs and got some Garage time in to finish cleaning and painting the remaining metal for the Jig.  Next step is welding, but most likely not this weekend as this weekend is a car show my Lions club is hosting with Advance Auto Parts.

Here is the limb that fell on the fence:

Aug 20, 2010 – Sealed Deck

Got the deck sealed.  Should be good for a year now until I decide if I am going to paint it or not.  Took me three hours for the railings & spindles and an hour for the main deck.  I just had enough for the job (2 Gallons) with hardly a drop to spare left over!

Shed & Front Deck – Sat Jun 2

Got all of the posts measured, dug, and in-place…  After the two of us using a post-hole digger on one hold each for about an hour, we rented an auger to do all of the rest in the same amount of time!

For the shed, here are the 8×8’s leveled out for the floating skid foundation:

Floor:

Used tongue-in-groove boards.

Memorial Day Weekend

We received 1.5 inches of rain within an hour this weekend.  Some came in the basement which I was able to wipe up.  This is the side of the house I need to build up to improve the drain flow:

I also had another limb fall off my tree.  I plan on having the tree cut down as it is right beside the garage.  This was on Saturday and I was able to cut it up and haul it to the recycling center for disposal before they closed for the holiday weekend:

Last but not least, I realized my regulator was bad on the air compressor, so I re-did it adding a shut-off valve, water trap, and a new regulator all from Lowes.  Checked it out to ensure it all works properly and am ready to go now!  That is why I had trouble with my tools is because the psi was wrong!

Next weekend will be working on the new deck and shed!
