Got a little work done on the firewall the other day. There was still a little stripping down of parts to do on it. The hood adjustment bolts were stuck, so I started spraying them to help loosen them up. Also ordered a new wide tip screw driver to use on these. Hope to get some more garage time in this weekend!

Firewall – 12/21/2015
Got out to the garage tonight. Took the car off of the Rotisserie and moved it to give me access to the firewall so I can begin cleaning and stripping the dash/cowl/firewall area:
Made some room to move around:
Will re-mount the rotisserie to the bumper mounts when I start on the street side of the floor:
For now, plenty of room to move around – can’t get much lower with the rotisserie. I am looking at a new lift though.

Now to remove any remaining items, clean and strip.
12/6/2015 – This weeks new items
Bought a NOS Casco style cigarette lighter and a used defogger switch – I needed some clips from it to use on my nos switch to mount it in the holder. Hope to have that write-up this next week.

12-bolt Sand Blasted & Primed
The 12-bolt has been sand blasted & has been Epoxy primered… This was done by someone else (the friend I bought the engine from knows someone who did this for me) – I will paint this Spring once it is warm enough. Tried to find a before picture:

and after – it looks even better in person!

I will need to clean the inside again before rebuilding it.
11/17/2015 – Last weeks parts purchases
Bought several more items this last week – most new old stock (nos) and one in very nice condition:

nos A/C Blower Fan:
nos A/C Blower Motor:
Very nice A/C Heater Controller – 1 year only for a ’73 Camaro – very happy with this:
nos Spoiler for a fraction of the cost of a brand new repo spoiler (one picture shows a crack which I am unable to find on the physical spoiler) – super excited about this one:
NOS Floor Shift Boot
Found a nice center console
I found a very nice original center console. I had a reproduction console I was going to use, but prefer the original ones as they are a better quality – there are a couple spots that will need restoring. Click the images to cycle through the pictures:
10/25/2015 – Bought another part today
Located a nice grill for the rear defroster (click image to cycle through the images):
Been busy getting things at home ready for winter – still have some leaves to rake, then hope to get back out to the garage to work on the Camaro within the next few weeks \ month.
10/19/2015 – Misc new to me parts
Bought a working a/c housing (click image to cycle) – I am going with the stock a/c rather than an after market a/c system because the stock a/c uses outside air and I believe to be better than the after market systems.:
Also a New Old Stock (nos) ac-evaporator (click image to cycle):
And a nos rear window defogger case, fan, and motor (all nos) – I decided to buy this after finding a nos switch to place on my bezel. I wanted the switch rather than the closed hole in the bezel, so I had to find the defogger to go with it!:
and last but not least, a nos headlight switch:
Epoxy Primer
Finally got the car primed in Epoxy primer. 2 coats inside, 3 outside. Click the image to cycle through the pictures. I was worried with the primer when I saw that some had leaked out and gelled. All turned out just fine.
